Authors who would like to publish in an OA journal might begin by consulting the following resources.
- Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ): This index lists peer-reviewed open access journals across a range of disciplines. Most journals in DOAJ do not charge authors to publish.
- Open Access Scholarly Publishing Association (OASPA): Members of OASPA agree to abide by a code of conduct, which includes a commitment to transparency, data protection and privacy, and open access.
- Ulrichsweb Global Serials Directory: This resource provides detailed information about more than 300,000 periodicals of all types. To find open access publications, narrow a keyword search to key features -> open access.
Editors/authors who would like to publish their own OA journal should consider the following:
